The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2026) opened on November 5 in Shanghai, China. The national pavilion of Turkmenistan, organized with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, serves as an important platform for presenting the country’s economic potential, export opportunities and achievements of domestic producers. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen pavilion showcases a wide range of high-quality products manufactured in the country’s textile, chemical, agricultural and industrial sectors. The presentation of national products at the international exhibition demonstrates Turkmenistan’s production capabilities, export potential and competitiveness in global markets.

The national exposition provides foreign participants with an opportunity to learn about the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s economy, investment opportunities, modern production capacities, as well as the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The platform also plays an important role in establishing new partnerships, expanding export destinations and developing international trade relations.

This year’s CIIE brought together representatives from 162 countries, regions and international organizations. Products and services of more than 4,100 exhibitors are presented at the exhibition venues. The participation of high-level representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations in the opening ceremony highlights the global significance of the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, noted that China continues to pursue its policy of openness, placing particular emphasis on expanding international trade and creating favorable conditions for foreign partners.

Under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the development of strategic partnership with China, expansion of trade and economic cooperation, and strengthening interaction in the global economic arena remain among the important priorities of the country’s foreign policy. Relations between the two states, based on equality, mutual respect and common interests, are being enriched with new content.

The CIIE 2026 exhibition in Shanghai creates effective opportunities for further developing trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and China, identifying new areas of partnership and strengthening the position of Turkmen products in global markets.

The participation of Turkmenistan’s national pavilion in this prestigious international exhibition demonstrates the country’s active integration into the global economy, its commitment to diversifying export destinations and developing mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners.
