The President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on april 4 th on the digital system with the Deputy Prime Minister for Agro-Industrial Complex and hyakimliks of the velayats. There were discussed key issues of the socio-economic development of the regions and the progress of seasonal agricultural work, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported on the measures taken to obtain a high grain harvest. Also, the Vice-premier reported, that in general, cotton sowing has been carried out on an area of 129 thousand 659 hectares throughout the country. Also, in the country 30 thousand hectares were planted with early potatoes, 10 thousand hectares with onions, 1500 hectares with cabbage and 3 thousand hectares with carrots. And also, it was noted, that in general 1 million 658 thousand 915 trees were planted and it is planned to produce 2 thousand 300 tons of cocoons.

The President Serdar Berdimuhamedov after listening to the reports, focused on the need to carry out agrotechnical activities in accordance with the standards, and also stressed the importance of constant monitoring of construction work carried out in the velayats, in particular, at social facilities under construction.
Along with this, the President of the country ordered to ensure the coordinated activities of the relevant structures in order to organize the planned events on the occasion of the World Health Day celebrated in Turkmenistan on April 7.
Addressing to all participants of the meeting, the head of state stressed, that the work carried out these days should contribute to the further socio-economic development of the Motherland and improve the living standards of the people of Turkmenistan, giving specific instructions in this regard.
