Having completed his working trips to the Mary and Lebap velayats, esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the conference hall of the International Airport in Turkmenabat, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the meeting included the results of working visits, priority tasks related to the socio-economic development of the country at this stage, and also considered drafts of a number of documents.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Muhammedov, the head of state stressed that the basis of the economy of the Mary velayat is formed by the industrial, chemical and agricultural sectors. In this regard, it was noted that it is necessary to coordinate work to improve the socio-economic development of the Mary velayat, further improve the social and living conditions of the population of the region and create new jobs.

The President instructed all Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the heads of sectorial departments, to control the commissioning of the planned facilities on time.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Abdrahmanov was given specific instructions regarding the continuation of work on modernizing the work of enterprises-organizations of the fuel and energy complex for the efficient use of natural resources and deposits of the Mary velayat, the widespread introduction of modern technologies in enterprises-institutions of the industry, and the creation of new jobs.

Addressing Deputy Prime Minister Ch. Purchekov, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to do the necessary work to increase the production of electricity, non-metallic building materials and other building industry products, mineral fertilizers.

The head of state focused on the need to continue work to improve the provision of the domestic market with import-substituting industrial products and building materials, establish new industries based on innovative technologies and include the latest achievements in science and technology, and also the production of modern products in the electronics industry.

Having defined the sphere of processing agricultural and food products as the main sectors of the economy of the Mary velayat, the head of state gave a number of instructions to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov.

Emphasizing the need for targeted and efficient use of agricultural land and pastures, the head of state instructed, guided by international practice, to carry out the necessary work to increase crop yields, develop selection, and introduce a digital system into the industry. It was also emphasized that, guided by international practice, it is necessary to ensure the improvement of the ameliorative condition of lands, the introduction of the latest technologies for the operation of large water pipelines, reservoirs and lakes, and also the widespread use of water-saving methods.

Focusing the attention of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Toyliyev on priority tasks in the field of education, the head of state instructed to provide the velayat educational institutions with textbooks and manuals in the required volume, keep the composition of teachers in all subjects under constant control, and timely carry out repair work of educational institutions.

The President of the country emphasized the need, in preparation for the new academic year, to master new teaching methods, best practices, develop educational and methodological work related to the digital system in accordance with the requirements of the time, giving specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard.

Addressing Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, the head of state instructed to cooperate with well-known foreign companies to introduce best practices into the structures of the country's agro-industrial complex, train international-level specialists in this direction, study the latest technologies in saving land and water resources .

Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of specific instructions to the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Chakiyev regarding the increase in the pace of passenger and cargo transportation, the full use of the multimodal logistics capabilities of the country, in particular, the Mary velayat, by creating favorable and competitive conditions for international transport and transit traffic.

The esteemed President gave specific instructions to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdaev to strengthen food abundance in our country, improve the supply of markets and other outlets with a variety of products, rational use of existing industries, expand the range and increase the volume of products and services provided. Stressing the importance of the tasks of establishing efficient work of commodity producers, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, creating a favorable business environment, the head of state instructed to continue work in this direction in accordance with the requirements of the time.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammedova during the meeting, the esteemed President instructed to ensure the proper organization of work in cultural institutions, to carry out repair and improvement work in a timely manner. The head of state noted the need to ensure a high organizational level of the Week of Culture, which will be held in the Mary velayat, and gave specific instructions to the vice-premier in this regard.

Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the hyakims of the Mary and Lebap velayats a number of instructions on the modern organization of the agricultural sector in the regions of the country, the creation of an abundance of goods, the successful implementation of tasks related to the development of the livestock and poultry industry.
