Ashgabat hosted the Sixth Caspian Summit

The Sixth Caspian Summit began in the Turkmen capital on June 29, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chairs the international forum. The meeting of the leaders of the Caspian “five” countries is also attended by the Presidents of Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev, Iran - Ebrahim Raisi, Kazakhstan - Kassym-Jomart

Tokayev and the Russian Federation - Vladimir Putin.

During the forum, the heads of the coastal states will discuss important issues of interaction in the Caspian Sea in various fields and exchange views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.

It is also expected to hold a series of bilateral negotiations between the heads of the Caspian states, on the sidelines of the sixth Caspian summit.
