Representatives of Turkmenistan, who participated in the legendary “Silk Way” rally returned to Ashgabat with a victory.
Recently, the winners of the race were honored in Moscow at the “Luzhniki” Olympic Complex, where was a solemn finish.
This year, representatives from 20 countries of the world participated in the rally-raid. Turkmen athletes adequately coped with all the trials of the nine-day marathon. According to the riders, the most difficult section of the track for them was “Grozny – Elista”, where according to the conditions of the competition, it was necessary to pass without a mechanic. Nevertheless, the crew of the Toylyev brothers finished in the Russian capital with excellent results.
Pilot Merdan Toylyev and navigator Shohrat Toylyev won first place in the standings of off-road vehicles “T2 over 1000 km”. Also, in the second and third places in this category are the teams of the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan – Shamyrat Gurbanov and Muhametmurat Gurbanov, Maksatmyrat Danatarov and Didar Orazmedov.
