Iran increased exports to Turkmenistan

In three months, the Islamic Republic of Iran exported goods to Turkmenistan in the amount of 95 million USD, which in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21- June 21) led to an increase in exports to Turkmenistan by 38%.

The expansion of trade relations between the two countries contributes to the growth of economic cooperation. Thus, in June of this year, the Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Atdayev held talks with the

Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran R. Fatemi-Amino. On the agenda was discussed a consistent increase in cooperation in the field of trade and transport.

Among other things, great importance is attached to the creation of the Tehran-Ashgabat trade center.

Also, the meeting of the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications of Turkmenistan M. Chakiyev with the Minister of Transport and Urban Development of Iran R. Kasemi was devoted to the development of transport and transit relations between the two countries.
