Road safety awareness meeting held with drivers of "Awtomobil ulag hyzmaty" OJSC

An awareness meeting on road safety was held with the company's drivers in the assembly hall of the "Awtomobil ulag hyzmaty" Open Joint-Stock Company of the Ministry of Transport of Turkmenistan, with the participation of representatives from the law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan.

The meeting’s agenda included topics such as the primary causes of road accidents and their prevention, educational outreach on the strict observance of traffic regulations, and safe driving techniques during the winter season.

A representative of the Road Supervision Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan spoke at the event, noting the extensive opportunities created by our Esteemed President. He emphasized the importance of ensuring road safety and provided drivers with detailed explanations regarding the main causes of traffic accidents, the dangerous consequences of speeding, rules at designated pedestrian crossings, and the specifics of navigating roundabouts.

It was also highlighted that the road infrastructure of Ashgabat has been completely modernized, with the installation of advanced video surveillance and speed-measuring devices. Drivers who violate traffic rules are subject to fines in accordance with the law. The speech specifically noted that the speed limit in residential areas and settlements must not exceed 60 km/h.

A warning was issued regarding winter weather conditions: on wet, icy, and snowy roads, speeding, sudden braking, and sharp turns can lead to accidents. Drivers were advised to perform all maneuvers with caution and to reduce speed in a timely manner.

Subsequently, a representative of the enterprise spoke, noting that under the wise leadership of the Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the transport and logistics system of our country is consistently developing. He stated that Turkmenistan, reviving the Great Silk Road in modern conditions, is becoming a vital hub for international transport communications, and the work carried out in this direction is closely linked to ensuring road safety.

The meeting demonstrated the critical importance of strict compliance with traffic regulations, increasing driver responsibility, and preventing road accidents.
