In 2025, Turkmenistan's Transport and Communications complex exceeded the plan by 13.2%

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, overseeing the transport and communications complex, reported at an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of work by the corresponding structures for January-December 2025.

As reported, the growth rate of work performed and services provided by the transport and communications complex amounted to 113.2 percent.

The growth rate of freight transportation by road, rail, air, sea, and river transport reached 100.7 percent, and for passenger transportation – 159.8 percent.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the transport and communications sector is one of the key industries. In this context, attention was focused on the need to conduct proper work to increase passenger and freight transportation volumes and expand transit and international freight routes.

The Head of State noted the importance of further developing the digital economy, carrying out activities and developing proposals related to creating IT platforms for the digital economy and artificial intelligence technologies, and training specialists in this field.
