The national flag of Turkmenistan and the logo of the Football Club "Arkadag" were raised on the highest peak in the Republic of Türkiýe
From March 1 to 6, 2026, with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiýe, members of the Arkadag football club fan club climbed Mount Ağrı, highest peak of the Republic of Türkiýe. This initiative was timed to coincide with the proclamation of the year 2026 as the motto "Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan - homeland of purposeful heavenly horses" as well as the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The event aimed to develop sports diplomacy, promote an active and healthy lifestyle, and strengthen the values ​​of patriotism and national unity. The expedition was led by a student from Turkmenistan and an experienced mountaineer. Upon arrival at the summit of Mount Ağrı, at an altitude of 5,137 meters, the national flag of Turkmenistan, the logo of the Football Club "Arkadag", and the 2026 logo were ceremoniously unfurled. This symbolic act was an expression of respect for national values, sporting achievements, and commitment to the ideals of peace, friendship, and cooperation between peoples. It is noteworthy that, with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiýe, and at the initiative of Turkmen students studying at Turkish universities and sports enthusiasts, fan clubs of the Football Club "Arkadag" were established in the cities of Ankara and Antalya.
