Turkmen Ambassador and Head of Romanian Consumer Protection Association discuss cooperation opportunities

On February 4, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Bucharest, Annamammet Annaev, held talks with Sorin Mierlea, head of InfoCons, Romania’s largest consumer protection organization.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of labeling for imported goods and the protection of intellectual property rights.

The InfoCons organization proposed that the Turkmen side create a unified information environment for citizens of both countries. For Turkmen citizens in Romania, this would mean access to legal protection of their consumer rights. For Romanian businesspeople and tourists, it would provide a clear understanding of the rules in Turkmenistan.
