Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova on February 10 held a meeting via videoconference with the Head of the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Ashgabat Egor Zaytsev and Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Azat Ovezov.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WHO in priority areas of interaction.
Special attention was paid to preparations for the High-Level Dialogue on Global Health Diplomacy, scheduled to be held in February of this year in Turkmenistan.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed mutual interest in further deepening the partnership and expressed readiness for the practical implementation of joint initiatives and projects in the field of healthcare.
