Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia signed a document on freight transportation development

Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia signed a protocol on cooperation for the development of freight transportation, digitalization of processes, and conducting diagnostics of the Middle Corridor.

The document was signed following negotiations between the Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Mammet Akmamedov, Chairman of CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston temir yullari" Zufar Narzullayev, and General Director of JSC "Georgian Railway" Lasha Abashidze, which took place in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed issues of mutual interest, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation in the railway sphere, including the development of interaction along the Middle Corridor — one of the key transit routes of the region.
