13 Thousand Hectares of Cotton to be Planted in Balkan Velayat
This year, it is planned to plant cotton on 13 thousand hectares of land in the Balkan velayat of our country. It is intended to harvest 16 thousand tons of cotton from that area. To reach this target, modern conditions have been created in all districts of the region. Currently, workers in the region's agricultural complex are carrying out preparations for cotton sowing in coordination with wheat care. They have performed tasks such as leveling the land and ridging the areas intended for cotton at a high pace. Cotton seeds were selected according to local soil and climatic conditions and fully prepared for sowing. Preparations for cotton sowing in the velayat remain a focus of attention. This year, in accordance with the local soil and climatic conditions of the region, wheat varieties such as "Alekseich" and "Bezostaya-100" will be grown. Additionally, 50 thousand hectares of land across the velayat have been sown with wheat, from which it is planned to harvest 80 thousand tons of grain this summer. To achieve this high goal, maintenance work is being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements in the Gyzylarbat, Bereket, Magtymguly, Etrek, and Esenguly districts.
