The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has launched an online questions-and-answers service, also accessible by phone. The launch of this service allows individuals involved in foreign economic activities, including foreign trade, as well as citizens crossing or planning to cross the customs border, to receive real-time online answers to questions related to customs matters.
The online service also provides responses to questions arising during the passage of goods through the customs border, including customs clearance, payment of customs duties, and prohibitions and restrictions established by Turkmen legislation.
Through the Q&A service, users can familiarize themselves with the requirements for vehicles imported into Turkmenistan, the documents needed for their customs control and clearance, as well as the types and amounts of applicable customs duties. The service is provided free of charge.
