Iranian shipping company provided 300 containers to send cargo to Russia

The shipping lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRISL) sent 300 containers to transport goods to the Russian Federation. This step was the first step in the activation of the international transport corridor “North-South”.

Earlier, the first transit container ship arrived in Iran, following the eastern branch of the “North-South” international transport corridor. The route also passes through Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The train sent from Russia is on its way to India and soon the freight cars will reach the end point of the route.

Also, the shipping lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRISL) signed an agreement for the construction of ships within the country and the purchase of ships, which in the future will increase the throughput in the Caspian Sea.
