Turkmenistan's Ambassador Sapar Palvanov held a briefing in Brussels for members of the European Parliament, along with the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with Central Asian Countries and Mongolia.
During the briefing, the need to strengthen and modernize the legal framework for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union was emphasized. It was noted that developing strategic cooperation between the EU and Central Asia requires a more structured dialogue with each country in the region.
The Ambassador also announced an upcoming interparliamentary dialogue on March 5 in Brussels with the participation of members of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. The meeting is scheduled to discuss a wide range of current cooperation issues, from economic cooperation and transport connectivity to humanitarian issues and the development of parliamentary contacts.
Sapar Palvanov noted the significant potential for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union in the areas of economics, climate change, sustainable development, and humanitarian dialogue, emphasizing the urgency of deepening cooperation amid global challenges.
