President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-Myung sent a letter of gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his assistance in evacuating South Korean citizens from Iran.
The letter notes that thanks to the cooperation of the Turkmen side, 25 South Korean citizens in Iran, as well as four Iranian citizens—family members of Koreans—were able to safely cross the border and enter Turkmenistan last week.
Lee Jae-Myung noted that Turkmenistan's support for the evacuation confirmed the high level of friendship and trust between the two countries.
