As part of his friendly visit to China, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and Chinese admirers of Akhal-Teke horses.
Opening the meeting, the founder of the Equuleus international equestrian complex, Wang Jian, expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, for visiting the complex and respectfully gave the floor to the distinguished guest.
Hero-Arkadag noted that he was very pleased to meet with members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and Chinese admirers of Akhal-Teke horses during this visit.
“In our country, we hold ceremonial celebrations in honor of Akhal-Teke horses twice a year. One of them is the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, which will be celebrated on the last Sunday of next month. Other celebrations dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses, including races and exhibitions, are organized as part of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day festivities,” Hero-Arkadag said.
On behalf of the President of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Hero-Arkadag invited the Chinese side to participate in the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, which will be held in April.
Noting that an extensive guided tour dedicated to horses would be organized for guests in the city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people invited all participants of the meeting to become honored guests at the festive celebrations in September.
“This is our common holiday. During the celebrations, issues concerning Akhal-Teke horses will be discussed,” Hero-Arkadag said, concluding his speech by expressing gratitude to Chinese horse breeders for their work in raising and promoting these remarkable horses.
