On April 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on World Health Day, as reported by the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden age".

“In the national calendar, World Health Day holds a special place, symbolizing the unity and cohesion of our society. The mass physical culture, sports, and social and cultural events held on the occasion of World Health Day enhance the prestige of our powerful state as a country of health and inspiration,” the Head of State noted.

“The socio-economic potential and cultural development of independent Turkmenistan are closely linked to the happy and prosperous life of the people, and to their harmonious spiritual and physical growth. Guided by high goals and the humane principle ‘The State exists for the people!’ and the motto ‘The Homeland is a homeland only with its people! The State is a state only with its people!’, we are implementing large-scale transformations across all sectors of the national economy, as well as in science, education, healthcare, sports, culture, and tourism.

By improving the social and living standards of the people, commissioning modern villages and settlements, and building industrial complexes, we are steadily strengthening our country’s position on the global stage.

In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of a powerful state, special attention is given to the development of mass physical culture, the Olympic movement, and sports. In this direction, we are successfully implementing national programs and comprehensive reforms. In particular, we continue to honorably carry forward the centuries-old traditions of our people in nurturing a physically strong and spiritually rich generation,” the President emphasized.
