On April 6, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and the hakims of the velayats, during which the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and the regions of the country was reviewed, the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden age" reported.

The hakims of Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats reported on the progress of seasonal work in their regions.

As reported, on wheat-sown fields, fertilization with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation are continuing in accordance with agro-technical standards. Cotton sowing is ongoing, and appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the timely completion of this critical season.

At the same time, in line with the planned goals for increasing agricultural production, agro-technical care is being provided for spring potato plantings and vegetable and melon crops.

In addition, preparations are underway for facilities to accommodate silkworm eggs, ensuring an organized start to the cocoon production season.

Information was also provided on preparations for mass sports events dedicated to World Health Day, as well as on the progress of work planned for the current year under the National Rural Program.

Having heard the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the seasonal agricultural campaigns. Speaking on the need for timely completion of cotton sowing, wheat care, and spring crop cultivation in accordance with agro-technical standards, the Head of State instructed that these activities be kept under constant supervision.
