On April 7, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, according to the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
First of all, Hero-Arkadag personally and on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated the speaker of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament on her birthday, wishing her good health, happiness, and great success in her state, political, and international activities.
Hero-Arkadag emphasized the significant personal contribution of the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation to strengthening the bonds of friendship between Turkmenistan and Russia, as well as to the expansion of multifaceted bilateral cooperation.
Expressing gratitude for the congratulations and kind wishes, Matviyenko noted Hero-Arkadag’s substantial contribution to further strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on the basis of mutual respect.
In the context of further deepening Turkmen-Russian cooperation, Hero-Arkadag highlighted the importance of strengthening humanitarian ties. In this regard, he thanked Matviyenko for her considerable attention to preserving the shared historical memory and transforming it into a foundation for enhancing cooperation in political-diplomatic, economic, and other spheres.
Hero-Arkadag also confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further advance the bilateral cultural and humanitarian agenda in key areas such as the study of the Turkmen and Russian languages, the preservation and enrichment of cultural heritage, and the creation of the most favorable conditions in both countries for the expression of the uniqueness, traditions, and customs of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia.
Taking the opportunity, Hero-Arkadag extended warm greetings to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
