An online meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Myahri Byashimova, and the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty, Amir Piric. This was reported on the website of the foreign policy agency of Turkmenistan.

As noted, during the meeting held on April 10, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmenistan's cooperation with UNESCO. In this regard, it was emphasized that interaction with this organization remains one of the important areas of the country's international humanitarian cooperation.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the issues of further strengthening the partnership aimed at developing cultural dialogue, as well as implementing joint projects within the framework of UNESCO's priority areas of activity.

The parties also discussed issues related to the implementation of previously proposed initiatives and agreed on approaches for their practical advancement in the future. In this context, they highlighted the coordinating role of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty in ensuring the effective implementation of projects at both national and regional levels.
