Trade turnover volumes are consistently increasing at the "Shabat" Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center. In January-March of this year, as a result of trade carried out by nearly 60,000 citizens of the neighboring Republic of Uzbekistan, more than 1,700 tons of goods were exported from our country. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
As noted, during the period under review, the Uzbek side exported more than 250 tons of goods to our country through the trade center.
Soft drinks, confectionery, fresh tomatoes, detergents, textiles, and other consumer goods produced in our country are in high demand at the trade center. Household goods, dried fruits, and textiles produced in Uzbekistan are mainly imported into our country.
"The 'Shabat' Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center was commissioned in November 2025. The trade turnover carried out through it is exempt from all customs duties and other payments," the report states.
