President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree instructing the governors of regions, cities, and districts to ceremonially present monetary and valuable gifts to war veterans on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. The document was adopted in order to honor the unparalleled heroism shown by participants of the Great Patriotic War on the battlefields of 1941–1945, the exemplary selflessness of elderly mothers who worked in the rear during the war years, and their noble efforts in raising the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, heroism, and courage, strengthening the unity and cohesion of the people, as well as their contribution to the successful implementation of fundamental reforms in the country.
