On May 8, a visiting meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held under the leadership of Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, Vice-Premier Tangryguly Atahallyyev reported on the seasonal work being carried out in the country's agricultural sector, particularly in the Balkan velayat. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

Currently, work on caring for wheat fields is in its final stage in all velayats of the country. High-level preparations for the grain harvest are underway: appropriate measures are being implemented to harvest the rich crop, grown through the diligent efforts of tenant farmers, in a short time and without losses. Simultaneously, treatment and feeding operations continue in the cotton fields, alongside care for spring potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and sericulture activities.

In the Balkan velayat, care for white crops and preparations for the grain harvest are also progressing at a rapid pace. On the cotton and other crop fields of the province, the power of agricultural machinery is being effectively utilized for irrigation, thinning, and weeding in accordance with agrotechnical standards. Furthermore, the scope of work in the farming areas is being expanded to fully provide the population with local vegetable, melon, and potato products.

After listening to the report, the Head of State emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures for crop cultivation. The Honorable President noted the necessity of increasing crop yields to strengthen the food abundance of the country and gave specific instructions in this regard.
