On May 8, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported at an off-site Government meeting on the work being carried out to ensure an abundance of goods in Balkan velayat and to increase the production of consumer goods. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».
As noted, modern shopping centers, markets and stores in the districts and cities of the velayat serve the population, and appropriate measures are being implemented to supply retail outlets with in-demand products and to maintain price stability.
At the same time, enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry located in the Balkan velayat provide assistance to participants in foreign trade activities and render related services. The region plans to implement a number of investment projects related to the private sector.
After hearing the report, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to keep under control issues related to supplying the domestic market of the country, including the Balkan velayat, with food and other goods, ensuring the efficient use of production capacities, increasing output volumes and expanding the range of services provided. The Head of State also instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure that enterprises of private producers operate at full capacity.
