Under the leadership of Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at the visiting meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on May 8, Vice Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the socio-economic development of the Balkan velayat and the work completed in the construction and industrial sectors. Currently, the construction of more than 260 large-scale production and social facilities is continuing at a rapid pace in the region. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Construction sites within the velayat are fully supplied with high-quality cement and other building materials produced within our country. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy is carrying out planned repairs and construction of new energy facilities in order to provide the region's consumers with an uninterrupted supply of electricity. In the highway system, bridges and roads are being renovated; in particular, the construction of the Turkmenbashy — Garabogaz — Kazakhstan border highway is being carried out at a high intensity.

Great successes are also being achieved in the chemical industry. Enterprises of the "Turkmenhimiya" State Concern in the Balkan velayat provide farmers with urea fertilizers and the domestic market with technical iodine. In order to increase the export potential of the region, the construction of a new urea complex was launched in the Turkmenbashy district. Additionally, the construction of a new residential complex in the Guwlymayak settlement has entered its final stage.

Having heard the report, the Head of State emphasized the importance of operating the region's industrial enterprises at full capacity. The Honorable President instructed the relevant officials to maintain strict control over the high construction quality of the facilities planned for opening in the Balkan velayat this year and their commissioning within the specified deadlines.
