During the past week, our honorable President held a working meeting via the digital system and reviewed the progress of seasonal work in agriculture. The Head of State congratulated the master silkworm breeders of the country on successfully fulfilling their contractual obligations by delivering more than 2,100 tons of high-quality cocoons to the motherland's harvest. Also during the week, a solemn start was given to the wheat harvest season in Ahal, Lebap, and Mary velayats. This was reported by the State News Agency "Turkmenistan Today". On June 1, International Children's Day was widely celebrated in our country. During the celebrations organized in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as in children's health centers, festive gifts were presented to children on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation and our President. On June 3, a mass bicycle ride was held in our capital with the participation of our honorable President on the occasion of World Bicycle Day. The Head of State, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council and reviewed the results of the work performed by military and law enforcement agencies over the five months. In addition, the results of the first five months of the year were summarized at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system, and it was reported that the growth of the gross domestic product increased by 6.3 percent during the reporting period. By the Decree of our President, the National Program on turning Turkmenistan into a tobacco-free country for 2026–2030 and the National Forest Program were approved. Important meetings to develop international cooperation took place during the week. The Head of State received Eric Stewart, the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, Cevdet Yilmaz, the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye, and Adil Karimli, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Along with this, the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and a meeting of the Turkmen-American Business Council were organized in Ashgabat. Several events were also carried out in the fields of culture and science. The Culture Days of the Republic of Azerbaijan were successfully organized in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. The "Turkmentextile Expo — 2026" international exhibition-fair was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an international scientific-practical conference was held at the building of the Agricultural Complex on the occasion of World Environment Day.
