The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Ilham Aliyev on June 22nd took part in the ceremony of handing over the oil tanker "Dostluk" as a gift from the Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Then, a representative of Azerbaijan addressed the Presidents of the two countries with a request to bless the commissioning of the vessel.

The heads of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan simultaneously press the symbolic button. The departure of the tanker was demonstrated on the monitor.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev in a solemn atmosphere handed over the corresponding Certificate to the head of state.

Having expressed gratitude to the leader of the neighboring country for handing over the oil tanker "Dostluk" as a gift to Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he regards the modern vessel as a symbol of friendly relations between our peoples and a confirmation of the high level of strategic Turkmen-Azerbaijani cooperation.
