The Chairperson of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, on June 26, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, informed about the ongoing activities to improve national legislation. This was reported by the electronic newspaper Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

As reported, the necessary work is being carried out to introduce amendments and additions, corresponding to the realities of the time, into legal acts aimed at the further development of the country, raising the standard of living of the population, protecting human rights and freedoms, and implementing state programs.

Along with this, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan. Representatives of the Mejlis took part in seminars on various issues organized by UN and OSCE structural units together with relevant state institutions of our country.

Summarizing the information, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of further strengthening the national legislative base and improving legal acts.
