In the current era, when Turkmenistan's transport and logistics potential is steadily increasing, and the country is becoming a main bridge between the East and West, North and South, the "Turkmenulaggozegchilik" state enterprise is one of the core structures ensuring road safety and high quality of transport services. The foundation of this institution was laid more than 30 years ago, namely in February 1994, under the name "Turkmentransinspeksiya." In the period since then, the enterprise has not only limited itself to regulating the domestic transport market but has also become a reliable support and a great force in increasing our country's competitiveness at the international level and multiplying the volume of transit cargo.
Currently, the state enterprise is making steady steps towards expanding the capabilities of our country's transit transport corridors. The enterprise also plays an important role in regulating international transport and cross-border operations. "Turkmenulaggozegchilik" officially and accurately issues special permits for foreign vehicles to pass through the territory of our country and bring cargo from third countries within a short time.
At the same time, the temporary admission of foreign trailers and semi-trailers is reviewed at customs control points, fully ensuring that every Turkmen and foreign vehicle crossing the border is technically flawless. Re-registering these foreign vehicles that temporarily entered the territory of our country and keeping their movement under regular supervision is also one of the main work directions of the institution, which complies with international standards.
The institution's specialists monitor the safety of freight and passenger transportation by vehicles around the clock, making a great contribution to keeping the culture of services provided to the population at a modern and high level. Moreover, strict compliance with the requirements of legislation in logistics, tariff, coordination systems, and transport-forwarding activities, as well as offering parking and modern technical services to interested parties, forms the core of the enterprise's daily work. Registration, testing, and certification of transport vehicles and trailers belonging to individuals and legal entities are also carried out based on precise analysis and within short timeframes.
The diversified activities of the enterprise do not stop there. It also successfully performs strategic tasks such as developing road traffic safety rules, new technical conditions, and special regulations, as well as regularly analyzing information in the transport system. Along with this, inspections and monitoring activities are organized annually in accordance with the plans approved together with related institutions and organizations.
In order to strengthen discipline on roads and transit corridors, inspections are organized in accordance with the Code of Turkmenistan on Administrative Offenses, penalty procedures for identified violations and deficiencies are accurately executed, and the collected funds are regularly and smoothly transferred to the state budget.
