A meeting of the expert group on the draft Plan of Multi-Level Inter-MFA Consultations for 2027 was held at the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Representatives from Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee attended the meeting on July 22. During the talks, the experts thoroughly reviewed the presented draft document and generally agreed upon it, as reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the participation of CIS member state representatives in consultations at an appropriate level approved by the Council of Foreign Ministers. The experts decided to continue working on the document and scheduled the next meeting for August 19. Based on the outcomes of the meeting, all relevant materials were forwarded to the member states for further refinement of the draft.

These regular diplomatic meetings carry growing significance during the year of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the CIS. Our country has been successfully fulfilling its duties as chair of the Commonwealth since January 1, 2026. The key Concept of Turkmenistan's chairmanship is aimed at strengthening the transport-logistics and energy connectivity of the member states. Notably, the main Summit of the CIS Council of Heads of State is planned to take place on October 9, 2026, in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone.
