On July 30, Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan, Beata Peksa. This was reported on the official website of the Mejlis.
During the talks, a high assessment was given to the current state of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The productive nature of partnership in energy, ecology, science and education, sustainable development, and the creation of transit-transport corridors was particularly highlighted.
It was noted during the meeting that the "Turkmenistan – European Union" interparliamentary dialogue serves as an important instrument for strengthening bilateral relations. Ambassador Beata Peksa highly praised Turkmenistan's multifaceted efforts—based on its policy of Neutrality—aimed at advancing the rule of law, human rights, gender equality, environmental protection, and digitalization.
