Turkmenistan presented its national development experience at an international conference

Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part on August 14 in the international scientific and practical conference “Independent Uzbekistan: 35 Years of Development, Reforms, Achievements and Future Opportunities”, held in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference brought together international experts, scholars and parliamentary representatives to exchange views on key areas such as state development, economic reforms, social policy and environmental issues. The event programme included a plenary session and thematic sections dedicated to various fields. This was reported by the press service of the legislative body of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, participants discussed the role of modern parliaments in supporting economic development, attracting investments, promoting an inclusive economy, strengthening human capital and improving social policy. Presentations were also delivered on environmental sustainability, the development of a “green” economy, efficient use of water resources and improving the ecological situation in the Aral Sea region.

In their speeches, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan shared information about the measures being implemented in the country to improve citizens’ living standards, enhance working and leisure conditions, and develop the education and healthcare systems.

At the final plenary session of the international conference, proposals were presented on the issues discussed during the thematic sessions. Participants emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening friendly relations between states and peoples, fostering mutual trust, and expanding new areas of international cooperation.
