Preparations are underway for the next meeting of the Turkmen-Latvian Working Group on cooperation in the transport sector, which will be held on June 12-16 this year in the Republic of Latvia. This was stated in the report of the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M.Chakyev at a Government meeting held on May 26.
During the meeting, it is planned to consider a wide range of issues related to the prospects for the development of a sustainable transport system between Europe and Central Asia, the TRACECA international transport corridor and others.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that the development of mutually beneficial partnership with foreign countries is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan. Stressing that our state takes an active part in the effective use of the possibilities of existing transport corridors, the Head of Turkmenistan addressed instructions to the head of the Agency on solving the tasks in this area.
