A delegation from Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is participating in the World Government Summit, which is taking place in Dubai from February 3 to 5, 2026.
Speaking at the "Future of Global Alliances" session, Meredov outlined Turkmenistan's approach to resolving pressing problems facing the world community. It was noted that Turkmenistan advocates for coordinated cooperation between states based on respect for international law, consideration of mutual interests, and engaging the potential of each country in the name of sustainable development.
This approach is reflected in concrete actions. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan has initiated the declaration of 2028 as the "Year of International Law." Turkmenistan supports constructive multilateral cooperation, calling for a responsible approach, predictability, and openness.
During the speech, specific mechanisms for partnership development were presented, including effective public administration, exchange of expert knowledge, and unlocking the economic potential of countries through interconnectedness.
