President of Turkmenistan approved the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country and Investments in 2026

At an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution "On Approval of the Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2026."

As noted by Vice-Premier Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, the draft of this document outlines the macroeconomic indicators expected this year, production plans for all sectors, work to be completed, indicators of socio-economic development, and investment volumes by regions, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

The Vice-Premier also reported that as a result of comprehensive measures taken, the results of last year ensured a sustainable GDP growth rate, which amounted to 6.3 percent.

Compared to 2024, overall production output in 2025 increased by 10.2 percent. Positive production indicators were achieved in economic sectors.

Wage levels at large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased by 11.9 percent compared to 2024. During the designated period, wages, pensions, state benefits, and student scholarships were fully and timely financed.

In 2025, the plan for capital investment development from all sources of financing was fully implemented. Compared to 2024, this indicator increased by 6 percent.
