The regional round of the nationwide "Woman of the Year" competition was held at the "Eziz" Celebration Center in Gökdepe etrap. The event was organized by the Ahal velayat administration jointly with the Women's Union and trade unions of Turkmenistan, timed to coincide with International Women's Day and the 35th anniversary of the country's independence.
During the competition, participants showcased their achievements across eight nominations covering professional activities, entrepreneurship, public and political life, and youth upbringing.
The jury evaluated not only the contestants' professional qualities and initiative, but also their contribution to strengthening family values and patriotic education. Based on the results, winners were determined in each category; they will represent the region at the national final in Ashgabat.
The event concluded with a ceremonial presentation of valuable gifts from the Ahal velayat trade union association.
