From March 5 to 6, Ashgabat is hosting a specialized seminar titled “National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence: Shaping Joint Solutions for Sustainable Development.” The platform, organized by the Ministry of Communications and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has brought together leading international experts, representatives of government agencies, academia, and the private sector.
Acting as the coordinator of digital reforms, the Ministry of Communications aims to create a balanced regulatory framework that will enable Turkmenistan not only to benefit from the advantages of AI, but also to ensure its safe and responsible use. The Government seeks to develop a strategy fully aligned with national priorities, minimizing potential risks while focusing on inclusive growth.
During the event, international experts from the UNDP Regional Office in Istanbul presented advanced global practices.
