Monetary awards to be presented to women and girls of Turkmenistan in honor of March 8

On February 20, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported at a government meeting on the results of the work carried out to present monetary gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the country’s women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. In this regard, a draft of the corresponding document was submitted for the consideration of the Head of State.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced that he had signed an Order to present monetary gifts in honor of International Women’s Day. The President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to congratulate female representatives in a ceremonial manner on the occasion of the holiday.

The document stipulates that, during the period from March 2 to 6, 2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, monetary gifts of 60 (sixty) manats each will be presented on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to women and girls working at enterprises, institutions, and organizations regardless of ownership; to those receiving pensions and state benefits; to students in postgraduate, doctoral, and clinical residency programs; to participants of courses at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan with a study period of at least two years; as well as to female students, schoolgirls, and girls attending preschool institutions.
