On March 4, 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with Lim Sang-woo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for Public Diplomacy, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the diplomats noted the rapid development of Turkmen-Korean relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. They paid special attention to preparations for upcoming visits and events at the highest and highest levels.
The parties exchanged views on current international and regional issues. In particular, they touched on the situation in the Middle East, noting the importance of consolidating efforts to ensure peace, security, and stability in the region.
Taking the opportunity, Lim Sang-woo expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for facilitating the transit of Republic of Korea citizens traveling from Iran.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further expand the multifaceted dialogue between the two countries.
