At the Government meeting held via the digital system on March 13, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyurat Annamammedov reported on the measures being taken to modernize the country’s construction sector.
As was noted, the Ministry of Motor Roads, established in accordance with a Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, is currently carrying out important work to improve the road transport system, implement significant projects, reconstruct existing highways and build new ones, upgrade the quality of services in international transit freight transportation to meet modern standards, and further strengthen the legislative framework in this area.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow emphasized that effective work is being carried out in the country on the construction and modernization of highways and the creation of international transport corridors, and instructed the Vice Premier to take measures for the further improvement of the national road transport system.
