On March 25, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ayano Kunimitsu. During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat expressed gratitude for the support provided in organizing the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan last December. It was also emphasized that the Turkmen side is ready to organize the visit of the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi, to Turkmenistan at a time convenient for the Japanese side.
The meeting discussed the implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits, as well as key areas of bilateral cooperation, including political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and inter-parliamentary relations, cooperation in the field of energy security, and interaction within multilateral platforms.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan expressed gratitude to the top leadership of Turkmenistan for assistance in creating a humanitarian corridor that ensured the safe evacuation of Japanese citizens from Iran in connection with the current situation in that country.
