National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, via digital system, congratulated President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on being awarded the International Zayed Award "For Human Fraternity".
"Today's celebration is clear confirmation that the principles of mutual understanding and trust, the desire to strengthen interstate dialogue and resolve conflicts in the name of peace and stability are extremely important, effective and promising approaches in solving complex problems and challenges of our time.
We in Turkmenistan treat the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia with great respect and attach special importance to the development of relations with them. The Turkmen people and the peoples of these countries are united by centuries-old historical, political, economic and cultural-humanitarian ties. Currently, interstate relations are consistently developing on the basis of equality, good neighborliness and mutual benefit, fully meeting the priority goals of our countries," noted Hero-Arkadag of Turkmenistan.
"Sheikh bin Zayed was a great man. I was fortunate to talk with him about peace at the same table on numerous occasions.
I am convinced that the awarding of the International Zayed Award 'For Human Fraternity' to the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia will give new impetus to the further development of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, raising fruitful mutual relations to a qualitatively new level, and implementing joint large-scale economic and infrastructure projects.
Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health, well-being and great success in responsible state activities, and to the peoples of neighboring countries – eternal peace, happiness, prosperity and, in general – well-being and peace to all peoples of the planet," emphasized the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
