Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the President of Kazakhstan to visit Tukrmenistan with a state visit

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay a state visit to Turkmenistan. The invitation of the head of the Turkmen state was conveyed today during the meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CICA, akorda.kz reports.

During the meeting, Tokayev and Meredov considered the prospects for strengthening the Kazakh-Turkmen political, trade and economic ties, as well as issues of regional security. In addition, the interlocutors discussed the preparations for the 6th Caspian Summit in Turkmenistan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed his readiness to pay a visit to Ashgabat in the near future, which, according to the President of Kazakhstan, will give "a qualitative impetus to the entire spectrum of Kazakh-Turkmen strategic partnership."
