A meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Thailand (with residence in Kuala Lumpur) Muhammetnyaz Mashalov with the Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Chakkrid Krachaiwong took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand on February 9, 2026, during which copies of credentials were presented.
The Thai side congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible position, wished him great success and emphasized readiness to provide assistance and support in carrying out his diplomatic activities.
During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of high-level negotiations in the development of interstate dialogue and discussed possibilities for organizing visits and meetings of the heads of state of the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign policy departments of the two countries with the aim of further strengthening cooperation between Ashgabat and Bangkok.
