The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Prince Edward discussed strengthening cooperation

On February 25, a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, took place at Lancaster House, the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on further strengthening Turkmen-British ties, emphasizing their ongoing development, particularly in the areas of culture and education.

At a joint working lunch between the heads of foreign affairs agencies of Central Asian countries, attended by Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, the significance of the upcoming first ministerial meeting in the "Central Asia – United Kingdom" format was noted as an important step in strengthening multilateral cooperation.

The Turkmen side expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted the respectful attitude toward the United Kingdom as a state with a unique cultural and diplomatic heritage. They emphasized the significant potential for expanding cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, along with the development of political and economic interaction.
